When is the best time to do a photoshoot?
I get asked a-lot.. when is the best time to do a photoshoot? Always in the golden hour.. the time of the day right before the sun is setting.. This gives the best lighting for your photos and who doesn't want that beautiful dreamy sun shining through in your photos?
So when does this time of the day happen?
It really all depends upon what month we are in.. Living in Wisconsin and being a photographer in the Lake Country area .. WE all know the weather and days are always changing.
How do I plan out ahead when to shoot in Golden hour?
I schedule my family shoots appx 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to the sun fully being set. For example in Fall time frame (when this photo was taken) the sun is almost completely gone by appx 6:15pm.. I scheduled this family for a 5:30 p.m. shoot .. Just enough time to get in some of that golden sun but also for it to not be too bright in our photos!
