When is the best time to do a cake-smash shoot?
Great question! Ideally a cake-smash photo shoot is best done between the months of 10 months to 13 months old.
Your little one in between this age frame is more likely to be interested in the cake. Once our little ones start fully walking they tend to *run* out of the photos more. If you already have a walker in your household you still most certainly can do a cake-smash photoshoot. We just re-direct the little one a bit more back to the cake and sometimes use their favorite song to keep them engaged or make funny faces (these are most trusted go to).
